Lectures, insights and consulting ...

Kris Davidson is available as a lecturer and/or photography consultant for businesses and educational institutions. Kris Davidson worked in branding/marketing and advertising (on both agency and corporate sides) before launching an award-winning career as a travel photojournalist and lifestyle photographer. As an adjunct professor at the Academy of Art University for the past 10 years, she has authored and currently teaches a number of photography courses including MFA Documentary, BFA People Photography and BFA Photo Essay.

As a lecturer, Kris can speak on a number of subjects, including imaging techniques, approaches to branded storytelling in an evolving media landscape, observations about trends and intersections of the various photography markets and more. Kris Davidson is also available to present and discuss personal work — with cultural identity and the malleability of memory as recurring themes, her personal work looks at what it means to become and be an American. She has current two projects underway: In the Southern Garden looks at how Southerners understand and wear their complicated history. American Macondo considers the tenuous US/Mexico relationship through a magical realism filter. You can see her professional portfolio at
